Our region: automotive, research, networks and investment promotion

The economic region of Goslar is part of an automotive region characterized by the Volkswagen Group. The Clausthal University of Technology and other scientific institutions in the district of Goslar contribute to the fact that the Braunschweig region is one of the strongest research regions in Europe. In order to bundle strengths and develop synergies, various competence networks have been established in our region, also outside the automotive sector (e.g. REWIMET or the Harz chemical network). It is also attractive that the district of Goslar can offer grant funding of up to 30% of the investments made.
